The University of Central ÒùÐÔÊÓÆµ will play host to 250 high school students and science teachers from across the state for the annual ÒùÐÔÊÓÆµ Science and Engineering Fair.
The event will be held on Friday and Saturday, April 3 and April 4 in the Jeff Farris Health and Physical Education Center on the campus.
On Friday, students will set up their projects from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Judges will begin reviewing projects at 2 p.m. A recognition banquet for attendees will be in McCastlain Hall at 6:30 p.m.
On Saturday, public viewing of the projects will be from 9 a.m. to noon. An awards ceremony will be held at Ida Waldran Auditorium at 3:30 p.m.
The ÒùÐÔÊÓÆµ Science and Engineering Fair is affiliated with the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) which will be held in Pittsburg, Penn., in May. The state science and engineering fair is open to students in grades 9-12 who placed in the top four places in their respective categories at one of ÒùÐÔÊÓÆµâ€™ regional ISEF science fairs.
