The University of Central Ƶ STEM Institute will host “A Day of Celebration of Women in STEM” Friday, March 9, starting at 8:15 a.m. in Brewer-Hegeman Conference Center on the UCA campus.
Girls from high schools in central Ƶ such as Conway, Vilonia, Bigelow, Greenbrier, Searcy and Mayflower are invited to attend the event that will feature a keynote address from Elizabeth McCormick, a former U.S. Army Black Hawk pilot.
Representatives working in STEM fields like nursing, physical therapy, computer coding and medicine, as well as those working for organizations like the Ƶ Game and Fish Commission and the FBI will host learning sessions throughout the day.
