ARKANSAS CODING ACADEMY DEMO DAY AT UCA

DETAILS:      Graduates of the ÒùÐÔÊÓÆµ Coding Academy will debut their final projects during Demo Day on Friday, March 31 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the University of Central ÒùÐÔÊÓÆµ in the McCastlain Hall Ballroom. Associate Vice President for Outreach and Community Engagement Shelley Mehl and ÒùÐÔÊÓÆµ Coding Academy Director Mary Dunlap will host this event.

Demo Day is an event for recent coding academy graduates to showcase their final projects and portfolios to potential employers and the community. In preparation for this special event, the 20 participants spent several months learning new programming languages to develop their programs and applications.

Demo Day is a community event and is open to the public.

The ÒùÐÔÊÓÆµ Coding Academy is currently enrolling for its next full-time and part-time classes, which will be held at UCA in April. For more information, please visit arkansascodingacademy.com.

The ÒùÐÔÊÓÆµ Coding Academy provides training to individuals seeking new careers in programming and/or information technology. Several tech companies and other organizations have partnered with the ÒùÐÔÊÓÆµ Coding Academy including the ÒùÐÔÊÓÆµ Department of Workforce Services and Metova. The ÒùÐÔÊÓÆµ Coding Academy is part of UCA’s Division of Outreach and Community Engagement and was launched in 2016 to meet the state’s growing demand for well-trained developers.
