The Office of Multicultural Student Services honored 69 minority freshmen and 106 minority upperclass students recently in recognition of their academic achievement and success at UCA.
Those receiving accolades were minority freshmen who received a 3.0 or higher grade point average and 听upperclass students who earned at 3.5 or higher grade point average at the end of the fall 2010.
鈥淭he purpose of this program is to divert some of the negative attention, which seems to shadow this population and our goal is to showcase and uplift those students who are reaching their potential and achieving at UCA,鈥� said Angela Jackson, director of the Office of Multicultural Student Services.
