Dr. Michael Yoder, associate professor of geography, published an article on urban geography in northern Mexico called “Landscapes of Industry and Transport: Monclova and Torre贸n, Mexico,” Journal of Big Bend Studies 21: 179-200 (2009).
Dr. Rifat Akhter鈥檚, assistant professor of sociology, article entitled, 鈥淚mpacts of Global Economy on Women鈥檚 Labor Force Participation in the Developing Nation鈥� was published in December in the Global Studies Journal.
Dr. Brian Campbell, assistant professor of anthropology, recently published an article entitled 鈥淎 Gentle Work Horse Would Come in Right Handy: Animals in Ozark Agroecology鈥� in the July 2009 issue of Anthrozoos: A Multidisciplinary Journal of The Interactions of People & Animals, and had another article, 鈥淓thnoecology of the Ozark Agricultural Encounter鈥� accepted for future publication in Ethnology: An International Journal of Cultural and Social Anthropology.
Dr. Doug George, assistant professor of sociology, has an article entitled, 鈥淲ill the Circle Be Unbroken?: American Multiculturalism and Black-White Aspirations for Social Integration into the United States鈥� forthcoming in Sociological Imagination.
