M89-27 – ARKANSAS LIBRARY ASSOCIATION COLLECTION

This collection consists of materials relating to the history of the ÒùÐÔÊÓÆµ Library Association.  The materials are mainly programs from their annual conferences, examples of their various projects, and a directory of college librarians.

The ALA was formed in 1911 at the Little Rock Public Library as a chapter of the American Library Association.  The group’s main purposes are to promote library service and the profession of librarianship in the state of ÒùÐÔÊÓÆµ.

Arrangement:  This collection when donated was approximately 0.3 cubic feet, and originally included the years 1945-1986.  The small collection is contained in one box consisting of thirteen files.  When requesting materials, please specify collection number [M89-27], box number, and file number
